This small mobile printer is exactly what I need for invoicing and other jobs such as sending fellow tradesman details or step-by-step instructions that I can easily print off from my phone or the Web. Navman has tweaked the search method, with a single find menu and the ability to search via keywords, postcodes or by picking an area on the map screen. The screen has a matte finish so it does a reasonable job in direct sunlight, though its viewing angles aren't the best. Possibly chastened by scathing user feedback , Glide Touch is disabled by default in favour of the button scrolling system found in all other portable GPS devices.

Navman MY50T GPS unit
Traffic messaging at a low price. We're big fans of the keyword destination search, but some features, like volume control, require way too many button presses. Some screen transitions feel a little sluggish, but the MY50T is intuitive to use and menus look appealing. Thanks to its stark minimalist look and big colour main menu icons the interface looks to be a straight carry over from last year's much derided Glide Touch system.

Be respectful, keep it civil and stay on topic. We would have preferred the antenna to be built into the unit itself, so the charger and annoying cable didn't dangle along the dashboard. An annoying trait we've discovered in GPS devices fitted with Navteq maps is a peculiar fondness for illegal turns and u-turns. As with any GPS device there's a fondness for main roads and sometimes confused positioning in the CBD, where the satellite signal is obscured or bounced off tall buildings.

No additional import charges at delivery! The Bad Bluetooth, but not for hands-free. This led us to turn school zone warnings off completely. Traffic light locations are included with the package and make driving without looking at the screen a more frequent occurrance mwps being told to "turn left at the traffic light" is considerably easier to understand while on the move than "turn left in metres". With its piano black front and faux-metal plastic back, the MY50T isn't quite as spiffy as the preceding line of S-Series Platinum models.
